IPL Pigmented Lesion Treatment

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) is a safe, effective treatment for spots that are related to sun exposure.  Our office will provide lesion evaluation prior to treatment with IPL for potential skin cancer or other skin problems.  After evaluation, you receive treatment, which takes a short (usually less than 20 minutes) time.  Immediately after treatment, you can expect a mild sunburn-like sensation, possibly accompanied by minor swelling.  This usually lasts 2-24 hours, and can be soothed with cold gel or ice packs.

After treatment, the sunspots will darken and be naturally shed from the skin within 1-2 weeks.  It can require several treatment to achieve desired results.
